Volcano Engine President Tan Dai announced the Seedance 2.5 video generation model at the 2026 Volcano Engine FORCE conference on June 23, saying it is currently in global enterprise beta testing and is expected to officially launch in early July.
According to PANews, event materials said Seedance 2.5 includes multiple core capability upgrades, including support for generating a single native 30-second video output and importing up to 50 multimodal reference materials at the same time to enable more controllable and detailed video generation and editing.
The conference also announced an upgrade to the previous Seedance 2.0 model, which now supports native 4K video generation.
In addition, the event previewed ByteDance’s new AI copyright commercialization platform, with Stephen Chow named as one of the platform’s first partners.
