The U.S. Dollar Index, which tracks the dollar against six major currencies, rose 0.29% on June 22 to close at 101.024 by the end of trading in the foreign exchange market. According to ChainCatcher, the euro fell to $1.1424 from $1.1477 in the previous session, while the British pound edged up to $1.3244 from $1.3234.
The dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen to 161.42 from 161.26 and rose versus the Swiss franc to 0.8091 from 0.8066. It weakened against the Canadian dollar to 1.4157 from 1.4174, and advanced against the Swedish krona to 9.6212 from 9.5742.
