Canada announced a strategy on Monday to speed up the construction of nuclear reactors across the country, as officials seek to expand electricity generation and use its reserves of high-grade uranium.
According to Odaily, officials said the goal is to build 10 large reactors in Canada, with at least two expected to begin construction before 2035.
Officials also pledged to accelerate regulatory approvals and to develop a new financing framework by early next year aimed at attracting capital from pension funds and sovereign wealth funds to support the nuclear expansion plan.
