U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said Iran has committed to ensuring free and open passage through the Strait of Hormuz and to allowing International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to enter the country.
According to Odaily, Bessent said the U.S. remains committed to making the world safer and more prosperous under the leadership of U.S. President Donald Trump and the vice president, citing constructive talks currently underway in Switzerland.
Bessent also said the U.S. Treasury Department has issued a 60-day temporary general license as part of a framework agreement, authorizing the production, delivery, and sale of Iranian oil.
