An ATM token on BNB Chain was attacked, with losses of about $950,000, after an attacker drained 1,604 WBNB from a PancakeSwap liquidity pool. According to Foresight News, F12 monitoring identified the affected pool as the ATM/WBNB PancakeSwap trading pair, associated with an address starting with 0x9753A64f.
The attacker used a contract address starting with 0xDbf187d9 and an attacker wallet address starting with 0x66DE. The incident did not involve a flash loan.
F12 said the attacker used the sync() function to desynchronize the pool’s reserves and then swapped at a distorted price, withdrawing all WBNB liquidity from the pool. The pool’s WBNB balance has since fallen to near zero.
