According to Odaily, the bank said market expectations for the Fed are overly hawkish.
In its market outlook report for the second half of the year, Standard Chartered said the U.S. economy has performed better than expected. The bank also said a temporary agreement reached between the United States and Iran may push overall inflation to peak in the second quarter.
Standard Chartered said the current situation is favorable for interest rates in emerging markets such as India. The bank added that it currently prefers investing through equities and expects India’s environment to improve and conditions to become more stable.
