Declan Rice said he has been managing a hamstring injury since after Christmas and backed Thomas Tuchel’s decision to substitute him in the second half of England’s 4-2 World Cup win over Croatia. Rice said he felt “neural pain” in his hamstring but added he is fit to start England’s second World Cup game against Ghana in Boston on 23 June, according to Yahoo Sports. Rice said he played 63 games for club and country this season, including 4,456 minutes for Arsenal and 540 for England.
