BitGo CEO Belshe Rejects Viral Claim Anthropic Mythos Breached NSA Systems

BitGo CEO Mike Belshe rejected a viral claim that Anthropic’s Mythos model breached nearly all of the National Security Agency’s classified systems as it spread on X. According to BeInCrypto, the claim traces to Senator Mark Warner citing an Economist report of what NSA and US Cyber Command chief General Joshua Rudd told him, but the episode was described as an authorized red-team test, not an outside hack. Economist editor Shashank Joshi later cautioned the quote should not be read literally. Anthropic said it disabled two models on June 12 to meet a US export-control directive.
