Serenity, known online as “White-Haired Stock God,” said prediction markets may face additional regulatory scrutiny following a Wall Street Journal report alleging that Polymarket marketed to U.S. users through simulated trading and videos showing false profits.
According to Odaily, Serenity wrote on X that regulators should also investigate how Polymarket pays key opinion leaders (KOLs) marketing fees for undisclosed paid commentary intended to influence X’s algorithm.
Serenity said that as the most-subscribed user on X, they frequently receive such collaboration offers but do not accept paid promotions to avoid external influence on their research.
In a comment, Serenity added that they only use X and claimed that accounts on other platforms using their name are scammers.
