Wells Fargo denied reimbursement claims after South Florida customer Randall Kahn said scammers took $251,300 from him.
According to NS3.AI, Kahn said people posing as Wells Fargo employees persuaded him to withdraw cash from nine branches over seven days.
Kahn said the withdrawals were made in person across the nine branches during the seven-day period, after the scammers convinced him they were legitimate bank representatives.
Wells Fargo declined to reimburse the reported losses, according to the account.
