A Fox Business crypto reporter said a banking industry source familiar with related meetings reported that coordination with U.S. senators over stablecoin yield has become a key topic at state bankers association meetings across the United States.
According to Odaily, the source said the outreach is occurring as discussions on Capitol Hill have shifted from the yield issue to reaching an ethics agreement, bridging differences between the Senate Banking Committee and the Senate Agriculture Committee texts, and how the bill would address DeFi ahead of a potential full Senate vote.
The source added that as senators outside the relevant committees learn more about the legislation, the yield issue remains “very much under discussion.” The source said it remains unclear whether stablecoin yield will again become a decisive issue when the bill reaches the full Senate voting stage.
