Fintech startup Karta said it has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Galaxy Ventures, with participation from Illuminate, Canary, and Clocktower Ventures.
According to Odaily, the company also secured a $125 million debt financing facility provided by CIM Group.
Karta offers U.S. credit card services to overseas clients who hold assets at U.S. banks or brokerages, and says it does not require an SSN or ITIN. The company said users can manage post-account-opening operations through WhatsApp and that it has partnered with about 85 private banks and wealth management institutions.
