Attorneys general for California and Minnesota said the Commodity Futures Trading Commission isn’t equipped to handle gambling-related issues such as addiction as it seeks to assert authority over prediction markets. According to Bloomberg, the officials said the CFTC lacks the tools to address the social costs associated with gambling.
