Texas regulators approved ERCOT’s Batch Zero framework for allocating grid capacity to large electricity users. According to NS3.AI, the approval comes as ERCOT reports a large pipeline of proposed new electricity demand seeking to connect to the grid.
ERCOT said more than 438,000 megawatts of proposed demand is currently in its connection queue, with roughly 90% attributed to data centers.
