Z.AI released its GLM-5.2 model on June 16, reporting a FrontierSWE score of 74.4 compared with Claude Opus 4.8’s 75.1. According to NS3.AI, the model was trained on Huawei Ascend chips without using Nvidia hardware.
Z.AI said GLM-5.2 is distributed under an MIT license.
