France defender Malo Gusto sustained a foot injury during a training game involving players not used in France’s 3-1 World Cup opener against Senegal and youth players from the New England Revolution. Gusto was hit involuntarily by teammate Lucas Digne and withdrew, but France’s medical staff were not concerned and he could take part in Thursday’s training session, according to Yahoo Sports.
France next play Iraq and sit second in Group I on goal difference behind Norway, which beat Iraq 4-1 on Tuesday.
