CME Group’s outgoing CEO Terrence Duffy said the company will file a lawsuit against the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Thursday over the regulator’s approval of prediction market platform Kalshi’s launch of a Bitcoin perpetual futures product. According to ChainCatcher, Duffy said the lawsuit is being brought specifically in response to the CFTC’s decision to approve the product.
