CME FedWatch Shows 99.6% Odds Of No Rate Change At Fed Meeting

CME FedWatch data showed a 99.6% probability that the Federal Reserve would keep interest rates unchanged at its current meeting, and a 0.4% probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate hike.

According to Jin10, the tool put the probability of no rate change through July at 91.0%, versus an 8.9% probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point hike.

For December, CME FedWatch showed a 38.2% probability that rates would remain unchanged, a 43.0% probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point hike, a 16.2% probability of a cumulative 50-basis-point hike, a 2.4% probability of a cumulative 75-basis-point hike, and a 0.1% probability of a cumulative 100-basis-point hike.
