Nocturne Labs, an Ethereum native privacy protocol, is shutting down its operations. Nocturne, backed by prominent cryptocurrency experts including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, announced in an X post on June 5 that it would cease operations. "The company did not provide any explanation for the reason for the shutdown.
Nocturne originally aimed to bring private accounts and trading to the Ethereum ecosystem. In October 2023, the company raised $6 million in a seed round led by Bain Capital Crypto and Polychain Capital, with Buterin also participating.
