TD Securities analyst Pooja Kumra said in a report that a sharp fall in oil prices could lead investors to scale back expectations for Bank of England interest-rate increases in the coming months.
According to Jin10, data from London Stock Exchange Group showed markets were pricing in a cumulative 26 basis points of Bank of England rate hikes in 2026.
After the United States and Iran reached a peace agreement, Brent crude had fallen to around $79.5 a barrel from about $95 a barrel a week earlier.
