Matter Labs, the developer behind zkSync, has carried out layoffs, according to CEO Alex Gluchowski.
According to PANews, Gluchowski said in a post on X that the company has made the cuts as it shifts to a full focus on Prividium and institutional on-chain privacy infrastructure.
He said Matter Labs began building products for regulated financial institutions in 2024, and that as the business has progressed, the company’s needs for skills and roles have changed, leading to the layoff decision.
Gluchowski added that departing employees have received financial support and that the company is helping them transition.
