Sources said a U.S.-Iran framework agreement includes a plan to establish a $300 billion private fund intended to encourage investment in Iran. According to Odaily, the fund would begin operating only after a final agreement is signed.

The sources said the vehicle would be a private investment tool that does not involve government funding. They added that it is unrelated to negotiations over Iran’s sovereign assets frozen overseas.

The sources said the plan has received funding commitments for more than half of the targeted amount from companies in the United States, Gulf Arab countries, Asia, South America, and Africa.
