US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick warned Anthropic PBC CEO Dario Amodei that the company would need government permission before exporting its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 artificial intelligence models worldwide. In a letter Friday, according to Bloomberg, Lutnick said the requirement would apply to exports to any destination or to any foreign national regardless of location.
