According to Odaily, Serenity said companies including Anthropic, OpenAI, and xAI are competing to develop superintelligence. Serenity added that if AI helps overcome cancer or accelerates breakthroughs in frontier technologies such as quantum computing, the resulting economic effects would be difficult to measure.
Serenity also said that large-scale replacement of labor by AI could significantly improve corporate profitability.
Serenity said that from strategic perspectives including war, security, and cybersecurity, the U.S. government has sufficient motivation to continue promoting AI infrastructure construction. Serenity added that even if large language model training and inference have limited profitability, the United States may still support the industry through incentives and subsidies to maintain a leading position in the global AI race.
