Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering said it has reached an agreement with Vietnam’s Sun Group, Toyota Tsusho and Japan Airlines to set up a joint venture to build an aircraft maintenance facility at Van Don International Airport in Vietnam’s Quang Ninh province.
The group plans to invest $360 million in the project, according to Ming Pao, and expects the facility to begin operations in 2028, subject to approvals from local government and regulators.
