Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has approved a resolution while reviewing a recent memorandum of understanding, Iranian media Fars News reported, citing informed sources.
According to Odaily, the sources said the council adopted the decision based on a precise, step-by-step “interpretive theory” that cites a history of U.S. bad faith and breaches and sets specific implementation arrangements to address any delays or violations.
The report said the interpretive theory assigns an “execution step” to each obligation by the other side. Under this step-by-step and conditional approach, Iran would take reciprocal measures only after the actual and complete fulfillment of each U.S. obligation.
If any provision is not realized, the corresponding Iranian steps, including suspending the performance of related obligations, would be triggered immediately, the report said.
