US and Canadian investors now keep close to 60% of their financial assets in stocks, a near-record concentration that leaves balance sheets highly exposed to an equity selloff. According to BeInCrypto, The Kobeissi Letter said the reading exceeds peaks seen before bear markets in 2000, 2007, and 2021, and is far above Europe and Japan.
The Kobeissi Letter put Scandinavian equity allocations at about 50%, Europe near 31%, and Japan around 20%. Separately, Bianco Research’s Jim Bianco said the S&P 500’s gains since late February have been driven largely by AI names.
