Hikvision has issued a price adjustment notice to distributors, raising prices for its hard drive products starting July 1. According to Odaily, the company will also complete an earlier round of price increases for other Hikvision products before July 1, while the hard drive increase mainly targets the distributor channel.

Hikvision advised distributors to lock in orders and prices as soon as possible amid supply and price volatility.

People familiar with the matter said the latest adjustment is driven primarily by a surge in AI-related demand that has created sustained pressure on supply. They added that hard drive procurement costs have continued to rise, with original manufacturers’ quoted hard drive costs for the third quarter increasing by more than 50% compared with the second quarter.

Based on current market conditions, the sources said product prices may continue to rise for a period of time.
