Some criminals, under the banner of "blockchain" and "financial innovation", issue so-called "virtual currencies", "virtual assets" and "digital assets" to absorb funds and violate the legitimate rights and interests of the public.
The Shanxi Provincial Office of the Leadership Group for Disposal of Illegal Fundraising issued a reminder on June 3 that such activities are not really based on "blockchain" technology, but are hype concepts for illegal fundraising, pyramid schemes, and fraud. Consumers should enhance their risk awareness, do not participate in hype activities, and beware of damage to personal property and rights.
The provincial non-governmental affairs office introduced that such activities use "financial innovation" as a gimmick, which is essentially a Ponzi scheme of "borrowing new and paying back old", and the operation of funds is difficult to maintain for a long time. The public should view the "blockchain" rationally, do not blindly believe in hype promises, and earnestly improve the awareness of risk prevention. Beware of being deceived.
