Aave founder Stani said on X that the Spokes mechanism in version 4 will serve as the protocol’s core architecture for scaling. According to Odaily, the mechanism is a scalable lending-market module that supports general functions and customized development.
Stani said Spokes can connect with a range of businesses, including automated market makers, perpetual contracts, fixed-rate lending, and asset custody, extending the platform’s liquidity boundaries.
He added that Spokes would allow Aave to work with external specialist teams to speed up product innovation while maintaining integration at the protocol layer. Stani said the Aave DAO can earn revenue through a fee-sharing mechanism, describing the arrangement as exchanging liquidity for speed and innovation.
