Hydra Host, a data center software startup and AI server brokerage platform, has raised $100 million in funding at a post-money valuation of nearly $800 million. According to Odaily, the round was led by venture capital firm Kindred Ventures and included participation from Nvidia, ARK Invest, Magnetar Capital, and existing shareholders Founders Fund and Flume Ventures.
Founded in 2021, Hydra Host initially served crypto miners but has shifted to providing automation software for data center operators. The company’s software enables operators to rent out idle Nvidia AI server computing capacity and supports a GPU brokerage marketplace that connects GPU owners with renters.
Hydra Host said its technology is deployed across 50 data centers globally, up from 30 as of February this year.
