Fars News Agency, citing an informed source, reported that an Iran-U.S. memorandum grants ships a 60-day period of free passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to NS3.AI, the report said the latest text would place future management of maritime shipping services under joint Iran-Oman decision-making.

Fars also said the wording implies U.S. acknowledgment of Iran’s right to charge fees for related services.
