The Aztec Foundation said it is aware of a potential exploit involving Aztec Connect, while stressing that the product is not connected to the smart contracts tied to the AZTEC ERC20 token or to the current Aztec network.
According to ChainCatcher, the foundation said Aztec Connect was deprecated three years ago and Aztec Labs no longer retains control over the system, meaning it cannot pause or upgrade it.
Separately, earlier reports said the Aztec Router contract was suspected to have been attacked, with about $2.19 million in assets transferred out.
