SK Hynix added more than 2,000 employees last year as demand for memory chips increased amid a global AI boom, industry sources said on Sunday.
According to Odaily, data showed SK Hynix had 34,549 employees by the end of 2025, up 2,159 from the previous year.
Over the same period, Samsung Electronics’ Device Solutions division, which oversees its chip business, had 78,064 employees, down from 78,699 a year earlier.
By the end of last year, the combined chip-related workforce at the two technology companies totaled 112,613, an increase of 1,554 year over year.
