The Trump campaign had nearly $300 million in funding in May

According to the first financial report, former US President Trump's campaign team announced on June 3 local time that they and the Republican National Committee (GOP) raised $141 million in May. This figure is much higher than the $76 million they raised in April. The Trump campaign said that the fundraising in May benefited from small donations from grassroots roots, with an average donation of $70.27, of which 25% of donors donated to Trump for the first time. In addition to the fundraising of the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee, the external committee supporting Trump raised $150 million in May. Therefore, it is currently roughly estimated that the Trump campaign has nearly $300 million in funds in May.
According to Federal Election Commission rules, the Trump campaign is not required to release its May fundraising information until the end of June. Therefore, the early release of the fundraising amount is also considered to send the message that "Trump has gained more support" to the outside world.
The Biden campaign has not yet released its May fundraising totals. Data released by both camps in April showed that the Trump and Republican camps raised $76 million in April, surpassing the $51 million reported by Biden and the Democratic National Committee for the first time that month.
