Crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett said advancing the crypto market structure bill known as the CLARITY Act into law before July 4 would require meeting multiple complex conditions and is “nearly impossible.” According to Odaily, she said the process would need an ethics solution acceptable to both Republicans and Democrats, fixes to issues in agriculture-related provisions, and consolidation of content from multiple bills.
Terrett added that the legislation would also need to secure 60 votes in the Senate and complete the full House and Senate process within two weeks, which she said is almost impossible given the timing, execution requirements, and legislative pace.
