Ripple rolls out XRPL AI Starter Kit to push XRP and RLUSD for AI-agent payments

Ripple is seeking to position XRP and its dollar-backed stablecoin Ripple USD (RLUSD) as payment rails for AI agents, in a market still dominated by USDC, according to CoinDesk. The company introduced the XRPL AI Starter Kit earlier this week, offering developer tools for AI agents to send payments on the XRP Ledger, including MCP server documentation access, Claude skills for wallet creation and payments, and x402 payment support using XRP and RLUSD. Early x402 activity has clustered on Base and Solana, with USDC volume leading.
