Hang Seng Indexes said it will add SpaceX (U.S.: SPCX) to the constituent selection methodology of its Hang Seng HK-US Technology Index following SpaceX’s U.S. listing.
The index compiler said in a notice, according to Ming Pao, that SpaceX will be added to the designated list of U.S.-listed constituents, currently the “Magnificent Seven.”
It said the weights of the eight U.S.-listed constituents will be recalculated to equal weight after the close on June 23, the seventh trading day after SpaceX’s listing, and the new constituent and updated weights will take effect on June 29, SpaceX’s 11th trading day.
