BBVA announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI to integrate artificial intelligence into customer service, business operations, software development, and employee workflows.
According to Odaily, the bank aims to shift toward an AI-native model and use AI to redesign its operating approach, including customer experience, corporate banking services, risk management, operational efficiency, software development, and employee productivity.
BBVA said employees have created more than 20,000 custom GPTs internally, with about 4,000 used frequently by teams across areas including legal, risk, customer service, finance, and marketing.
