The U.S. dollar index, which tracks the dollar against six major currencies, fell 0.1% on June 12, ending the session at 99.852. According to ChainCatcher, the euro rose to $1.1558 from $1.1548 in the previous session, while the British pound increased to $1.3398 from $1.338.
The dollar weakened against the Japanese yen to 160.08 from 160.5 and slipped versus the Swiss franc to 0.797 from 0.7994.
Against the Canadian dollar, the greenback strengthened to 1.3981 from 1.3937. The dollar also declined versus the Swedish krona to 9.4759 from 9.4948.
