Rebecca Grant of the Lexington Institute said the US is better positioned to take over Iran’s Kharg Island than it was at the start of the war. According to Bloomberg, she said it would be “very doable” for US Central Command forces in the region because the US has air dominance and controls approaches to the island, limiting the need for a large American troop presence on the island itself.
