The US Department of Justice charged Ruslan Tkachuk and Alexander Ledenev over AudiA6, a crypto laundering service tied to more than $389 million, and said the pair were arrested Wednesday in Batumi, Georgia. According to BeInCrypto, each faces one count of conspiracy to launder monetary instruments and one count of sting money laundering, and the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania will seek their extradition.
US Attorney David Metcalf said AudiA6 charged fees of up to 5% and was advertised on the Dark2Web cybercrime forum. The DOJ said AudiA6 wallets received roughly 10,333 BTC since 2021, and authorities seized infrastructure and froze crypto assets with international partners.
