WuXi AppTec said it will immediately take steps to challenge and correct the U.S. Department of Defense’s designation of the company as a “Chinese Military Company” (CMC) on the department’s updated 1260H list dated June 8, 2026 (U.S. time). According to Ming Pao, the company disclosed the matter in an announcement and said it views the designation as an erroneous determination.
