The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking to amend its whistleblower rules and is seeking public comment. According to Foresight News, the proposal would set a presumed award percentage of 30% for whistleblower rewards of no more than $5 million.
The CFTC said the final award percentage would remain at the commission’s discretion and would be determined after analyzing relevant regulatory factors.
