Bitcoin briefly dipped below $63,000 after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to strike Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT” and later mentioned seizing Kharg Island.

According to NS3.AI, the comments were posted on Truth Social as U.S. crude spot prices jumped to $91.75.

The Council on Foreign Relations said Kharg Island handles roughly 90% of Iranian crude exports.

Iran’s Persian Gulf Strait Authority declared the Strait of Hormuz closed, while U.S. Central Command said commercial vessels continue to transit.
