China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration for Market Regulation summoned auto manufacturers over suspected irrational competition, according to Ming Pao, and urged them to strictly comply with the PRC Price Law and rules aimed at curbing low-price dumping.
The regulators also told companies to strengthen price-compliance systems in line with the Auto Industry Price Behavior Compliance Guidelines, tighten product quality controls, protect consumers’ legal rights and interests, and help maintain a market order of “quality products at fair prices” and healthy competition.
