Immunefi CEO Mitchell Amador said new AI models are shifting cybersecurity offense and defense toward attackers, as DeFiLlama data showed more than $634 million was stolen from crypto platforms in April 2026.

According to NS3.AI, Amador said crypto security teams may need three to four years to use comparable AI models to develop codebases that are harder to breach.

In a separate incident, LayerZero said Kelp DAO's bridge relied on a single verification path when an attacker transferred approximately 116,500 rsETH on April 19.
