JD Mall has brought in its first group of intern robot employees, covering roles including greeters, shopping guides, shelf-stocking, and customer consultation.
According to Jin10, robots assigned to shelf-stocking can carry out standardized tasks such as putting products on shelves, organizing goods, storing miscellaneous items, and making beds, and the single-item shelving success rate based on the JoyAI-RA model has exceeded 90%.
The report also said JD officially launched its “Intelligent Robotics Industry Acceleration Plan 2.0” in early 2026 to speed up the rollout of a robotics solutions platform.
