The American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) sentiment survey showed the share of investors with a bearish outlook rose to 47.7% over the past week, nearing this year’s high of 52% recorded on March 18 and exceeding the historical average of 31%.
According to Odaily, the AAII sentiment survey gauges individual investors’ views on the market’s direction over the next six months.
The survey has been conducted continuously since 1987.
