Global smartphone system-on-chip (SoC) shipments fell 8% year on year in the first quarter of 2026, according to a Counterpoint report.
According to Jin10, analysts said a continuing shortage in memory supply was the main factor behind the overall decline in shipments.
The report showed MediaTek ranked first in the first quarter with a 32% market share. Qualcomm placed second with 23%, followed by Apple in third with 19%.
UNISOC ranked fourth with a 14% share, Samsung was fifth with 7%, and HiSilicon was sixth with 4%.
